COUNTRY'S WOMEN VISION ABOUT TRANSANTIAGO

Transantiago is the "new" way of santiago transportation. It has a lot of achievements and failures in compare to the old way of bus transportation (the yellow "micros").
I didn`t use too many times the old transportation system, and in nowdays I ocassionally use the Transantiago.
There are a few things that I can remember of micros.
I remember they were dirty and had a lot of graffitis on the back of each seat.
To get on it you must pay an amount of money in cash and the "micrero" (the bus driver) gave you back a fancy ticket.
To get off the micro you had to pull a rope or just yell to the bus driver to stop
The bus driver also loved to race against the other micros.
In the other hand we have the Transantiago. They seems like caterpillars. They're way better than micros in terms of comfort. They`re wider, and larger, with more seats and areas for disable people. The entries are more espacious. The payment is made by the BIP card (you can also pay the underground ticket with your bip). This way is faster than pay with cash, but if you dont have money charged in your bip, you can't use the public transportation.
An another difference is the routes they do. They changed all their schedule and rutes. This made some users upset because them was used to do a very specifc route to get to their houses... but now they have to commute in differents stations and complement this with the underground to get home.
I think that transatiago can impove their service if they implement more busses in each route, so the users don`t have to wait an eternity to get one.

  2. My dear Friend!! You are lucky to have the ChanchoMovil!!!! I Love your Car ´couse it
is an accomplice of many follies and carousing . If the Car talk, my friend ...La Merde! Would be as a little crazy.
You stay long more time if you take a bus... You would have to get up more early which would generate a bad temper in you.

    J´te Adore ....
    PeLu!!

  3. Ahjhajhajaha I really miss the fancy tickets and people yelling for get off.
Once, I had to yell to stop the bus, but it was too late and the next stop was near from national stadium, many blocks away from my home!
    ahjhjaha that was funny!
